The Office of the Chief Kazi to the Government of Tamil Nadu hereby announces the Ramzan (Ramadan) Calendar for the year 1447 Hijri (2026), including Sahar (Suhoor) and Iftar timings for Chennai City, as issued under the Kazi Act, 1880.
As per the calendar released, 1st Ramzan 1447 Hijri corresponds to Thursday, 19 February 2026, subject to confirmation in accordance with Islamic principles. The timings for Sahar and Iftar have been carefully calculated for Chennai and are provided day-wise for the entire month of Ramzan.
The faithful are requested to follow the announced Sahar and Iftar timings strictly and take note of the dates for fasting and related religious observances during the blessed month of Ramzan.
